BC2 BETA... Your thoughts and SCREENSHOTS of it

Remeber peeps it was said waayyyyyyyyyyyy back that this was a stats gathering beta and for networking issues, so dont be surprised if videos like this show up and start showing off new gameplay and options that we have never seen,

Hell some of the bugs we saw in the beta may have been fixed before we started telling them they we there
 
Cannot wait for the full game to come out now. Done this bloody map to death now, haha. Having fun using the m24 with the 4x scope mind!
 
Still seems like an entire clip is required for a kill.

Seriously though, I've no issue with the amount it takes to kill people, otherwise you'd spend more than half the game waiting to spawn.
 
yeah from that vid, the handgun isnt as effective as the beta, which is a good thing imo

I don't know if this has already been posted here but here you go:

DICE Developer @Demize99 stated on twitter that they are currently testing a new multiplayer damage model that would increase damage by 25% on all weapons except the sniper rifles and vehicle splash damage. He also stated that the test was going well and that it should be approved for a retail patch very soon. Below are the official tweets of @Demize99

@Demize99: So the test was to increase AR SMG LMG Pistol and SemiAuto rifles/slugs by 25% vs the torso. Splash vehicles and snipe dmg stay the same.

@Demize99: For the record 25% is 1 bullet for most guns, depending on the rof. Slow firing guns get less benefit, just due to the maths.

Should improve things a bit. :)
 
It's pretty awesome that they are taking these considerations on board even right up to the week of launch. I have to tip my hat to DICE for communicating and listening to the players as much as they have.
 
I keep getting a bug when i try to join a game, I press "Play Now" and it takes like 60 seconds until it will say "Server disconnected" or something similar...

It take me a good 5-10 Minutes to join a game... another reason to look forward to the Full Release...
 
Think it was supposed to address the 'disconnected from server' issue some people have had. Doesn't seem to have worked as my brother has patched but is till getting the disconnect he has been getting for the entire Beta period. Mine works fine though :D
 
New patch for beta, what'd it do?

* Likely fix for "5-minute disconnects". Try it out, and say whether it helps or if you are still getting booted (if so: after how long? and always after the same amount of time?)

* Workaround for speaker setups. If one of your speakers has lower volume (or is totally silent), try with one of the following lines in your Settings.ini:
o SpeakerCount=2
o SpeakerCount=4
o SpeakerCount=6
