Sweet is all I can say. :p I know that Worms has only ever had one outing in 3D (I think), but that failed enough to ensure some sweet Worms 2D awesomeness. I love the sudden nostalgic kick in the goolies we've all enjoyed, from the likes of this and Sonic. :D

2 actually, Worms 3D and Worms 4: Mayhem. But yer, back to 2D is good :)
 
I got Worms World Party and that had a (all be it buggy) online multiplayer option. Was right at the end of the 2D Worms goodness before they 3D'ed it up and ruined it!
 
Good old Worms Armageddon!

I thought Worms 3D was pretty good, but the terrain destruction was a bit lacking. No tunneling, IIRC.

Armageddon is still active, just make sure to grab the latest beta update to play it. I've told them many times to re-release it on steam but they moaned about spreading new updates to steam and defended their rubbish CD check DRM ( even though 75% of the online players are pirates, playing with an old version with a no-cd crack).



If you have WA, download this:

And give it a try online, it works nearly without issues on Win 7 and Vista ( may need to close explorer.exe in rare cases or use a fix to prevent color corruption) and without issues on XP... There's usually at least 60 players online at all times in the lobby (that's excluding ongoing games) and a lot of games. Has a lot of support for 3rd party maps now ( maps about 50x bigger than original WA standard maps), supports any resolution ( inc. 1920x1200 or 1920x1080), etc...
 
Seriously?

Give it up guys, this horse you're flogging is beyond dead. How many times can they release basically the same game? I love Worms but honestly since Worms World Party (and even that's pushing it) the series has been utterly pointless.

Have you ever played mp games ( in Armageddon) like ''shopper'', ''Rope race'', ''W2W',' etc... ?
