to a point i agree, all historians agree the numbers were inflated... for instance upon liberation of Auschwitz the Soviets said that over 10 million had died there, i believe the figure is now around 5-6 million... no one will every really know but it is for sure a large number.

I believe a holocaust did happen, too many verifiable eye witness accounts of the tragedy and brutality, we should never forget but also we should never forget other atrocities which should be treated with the same reverence that aren't.

Let us not forget who invented concentration camps.....

no actually 5-6 million is a gross exaggeration.

it was less than 1 million and the red cross documents showed only 275000 deaths. mostly from malnutrition and disease.

there is also no evidence to suggest that there was gas chambers.

if you take a look at the work of david cole who is jewish and a holocaust history revisionist he visited austwitz with a camera and comes to some interesting conclusions. there has also been tests done inside the chambers and there was no traces of chemicals.

not to mention the fact that millions of british, french, polish, russian etc all died, sure they might not have been in camps but they still died. there is just not enough solid evidence to back up the stories that came out after the war.

No gas chambers? Ah well clearly what I saw and the thousands of people that have vistied the sites were delusional ;) Millions of people died dude, whole family trees have ended as a result. The facts are in black and white all over Europe! Millions of people - millions, so easy to spot! It's frightening - the numbers are just unfathomable.

Funny thing is my Grandad was a Para in World War II.

He could jump silly heights and land fine, just about knowing how to land.

Funny that I took a picture of the gas chamber at Sachsenhausen. At Belsen 35,000 died of Typhus alone and that was after the war was over - deaths documented by the Army and the BBC.

Exactly. The Holocaust happened and there is more than enough documented evidence to support the numbers killed.

I'm sorry, but The Nazi's killed, or were responsible for the death of 12 million + people, including Jews.
 
Don't get me wrong, no one likes the Jews :p but the Holocaust did happen and it was one of the worst things to happen in recent history.

The source of the video is "Revisionism International" a group of modern day deniers and neo-Nazis, what a reliable source of information.

I wondered when the doubters and deniers would stick their ugly heads above the parapet and start to derail anything about the death camps. Why don’t you start a denial/doubt thread in Speakers Corner or better still actually talk about the truth.

No, he's entitled to his opinion. However, I don't think he's right, and I doubt he'll get much support.

Even if people weren't "gassed" (which I believe they were), millions still died, whether owing to malnutrition or disease or execution or something else altogether. Millions of people is a ridiculous number of people. Let us not forget it wasn't just jews that were culled either, though they did bare the target of the ideology that was being put forward.

Whether you like the Jewish people or not, the attrocities of the war are beyond comprehension.

Every thread on here about The Holocaust turns into an argument and ends up getting closed.

Can we not just accept that millions died and that we should really be a bit more respectful?
 
Is denying the Halocaust an actual crime? I didn't know that, but it's nice to know people are standing up against the nay-sayers.
