Any jewellers? Goldsmiths, Ernest Jones, Beaverbrooks etc

I have never really bought a watch in the uk but you normally need to have a good relationship with the dealer or be recommended to the AD to get a good discount.

having said that its not really the world’s most expensive watch so I will not really save that much.

Thats not technically true although it might be the case in the main. I bought an auto seamaster proffesional and got just under 14% off from Beverbrooks. I originally went to Goldsmiths and asked what they would give me off and they offered me 8%. I then went to Beverbrooks and told them what Goldsmiths discounted and that I would happily buy the watch off them if they bettered the price else I'd just go back to Goldsmiths so they did.

Hi, I am looking for a gift for the girlfriend, probably this one

I may also consider the coaxial movement but its hard to justify that fact that its 2.5x more expensive when she is not really interested in watches

Could someone (Rotty?) recommend an AD that will give me a decent discount on it, I was hoping for 20%+

Well for what it's worth, NOT the concession in Prague airport, which I had the misfortune to walk into last evening on my way back from a business trip. Attitude stunk, didn't want to deal (IWC I was looking at) and even got tutting when I asked more than 1 question!

Yep I was in there a few days ago looking for the above watch and they just could not be bothered.

The staff in Carollinum in Terminal 2 are much better but the list price of watches are around 20% higher in czech.

buying at retail, particularly at the moment, I would expect 20% off no prob (as long as not asking for credit), just negotiate with your local ADs and get on the phone to some others

I will give it a go, problem is that I am only flying to the uk next weekend and will need the watch that weekend.
