I swear in a trailer for one of their games, it said something like "I.D software presents" from a narrator. Surely a narrator for their trailer wouldn't have said it wrong? I could be wrong though, this was a long time ago and I can't even remember what game the trailer was for.

That was the bloke pretty much in charge of Toyota UK, so you can't trust anyone to be saying things properly

Strange that officially it's id but whenever I hear it it is pronounced as eye-dee

Personally i think id sounds strange and always say/read it like I.D. (eye-dee)

'id' only sounds weird cos it's not a word you come across very often, unless you're a psychology student.

I'd seen it in an 80's game for the C64 called Psi warrior, you had enemies called psi's and ids.

If someone said id as in did I wouldn't know what they mean.
