40D to 5D mkii?

My wife is considering upgrading from a 40D to a 5D mkii. She's producing some fantastic stuff with her 40D, ans we're both really getting in to our photo expeditions.

Does anyone have experience of both these cameras? Is the move to full frame worth it?

We are big fans of landscapes, low light and long exposure stuff.

Then the 5D MkII sounds like a great choice, depending on which lenses you/she currently have/has.

the 5dII is built for your type of photography, buy one

She has a 17-40mm f4L.

I think she'll be getting one. I'll be buying her 40D off her (up from a 30D)...

Its a stupidly good move that wont be regretted. I had a bigger leap from the 450D to 5D II and I'm amazed at the camera's ability.

I moved from 40D to 5d2 and never looked back.
She will jst love results from it !

Even thoe it is not a sport camera, I managed to get great shots while covering Irish Athletic Championships with it ;D

If you can afford it, get it

Well, she's got one, which means I'm stepping up to a 40D. Everyone's a winner!
