In an ideal world... What is your next car?

Indeed. That involves parting with the VX, which I'm not keen at all on and somewhat of a change in lifestyle as I don't get to drive the VX enough as it is. :(

My old one :(

Lovely :) I've driven one a couple of times in anger and really enjoyed it. The trouble is at the moment most of my driving is a 4 mile round trip to the station each day. In London it would make even less sense, but depends on career and where I am living.

Subaru Impreza STi of some description.

Either white jap import, Type 20/25 or RB320 depending on how much they've depreciated by the time I can afford one :)

The thing is GT3's like to be used when ironically most sit in garages getting out now and again. When I got mine it had covered less than 6000 miles in 2.5 years so was running like a bag of farts. It needed a few hard runs to settle down and got smoother and sharper with each mile. If you live in That London and can't get it out into the sticks a few times a month I would steer well clear as it WILL do your head in around town if that's all it gets.

It really depends on how I feel at time of purchase.

If I still feel I have a "hot hatch" itch to scratch, it would be something along the lines of Focus RS, Alfa 147GTA, Golf R/R32, Audi S3 etc.

If not, and I feel like a grown up car, then it would be a coupe of some description, something like a Nissan GT-R would be ideal but I doubt I could afford it.

If it was to be tomorrow it would be the hot hatch.

I've been perving over VX220s and Lotus Elise S1's for the last 4 months. Ideally I'd jump straight in the deep end with a VX220 Turbo. Looks like its more likely to be an NA, maybe sooner than I'd expected too :)

E46 M3 CSL or E92 M3. But won't be for a few years yet. After the grown up stuff of buying a house occurs :(

A 944 or a mk2 MX5.

I don't have kids or and other bulky nonsence. But I don't want anything too overwhelming. Both nice simple driver's cars, but liveable everyday cars.

Going strong still @ 13 months of Ownership but give it a couple of years perhaps something without a roof (Maybe a Mini, havn't decided yet)
