Can anyone else see the huge ring around the moon tonight!!

looks very strange indeed.

Any idea what causes it? :confused:

Maybe I'm blind or something, but I can't see any ring/halo around it. :confused:

Nah, just means there's no (well, less) ice particles in the atmosphere in a line between you and the moon.

I never found it particularly interesting, I can get the same effect just by taking off my glasses.

The moon looks great tonight, it is Waxing Gibbous 95% and will be full on Sunday night.

it can happen to the sun also, when it does it means there is snow on the way. Doesn't always happen but I remember when I was 10 I saw it and 4 hours later it tipped it down with snow

I read it in some survival guide, can't remember which.
