I personally think Tendulkar is better. Although Bradman has a fantastic average for tests, Tendulkar has managed to sustain his level of performance for 20 years

india by far the best at the moment, they would be incredible in tests if they could find a genuine pace bowler too.

Utterly amazing from Tendulkar.

It's an interesting debate about the best batsman.

Tendulkar, Lara and possibly Ponting of recent times.

Then you get the likes of Richards in the 70s/80s.

Ishant Sharma, been more consistent recently. Praveen Kumar is good, but lacks the pace.

Ishant can be an amazing bowler when there is movement from the pitch, but he needs to learn to bowl on dead pitches as well. He is still young though and if he can continue to learn he has the ability to be the best in the world.

Depends on whose batting and if the track is dead ie India would be perfect for that record to be broken again..seeing as in the past yr some huge scores have been piled up on the indian wickets.

As for who could break it??...dont know really other than Ponting, Tendulkar or one of the other indian batsmen ie Sehwag or Dhoni...hell could be even KP if he manages to hit some form.

But for the record to be broken again...it will need some slack bowling and a wicket thats more or less dead for the bowlers.

I don't think Dhoni could do it. In order to get more than 200, you'd need a huge strikerate and enough balls (

Dhoni usually bats lower down the order, and so wouldn't realistically have enough time to get the runs. Then again, he sometimes bats 3, so if a very early wicket is lost, then it's possible
