Soooo, me having a dual core, 4GB RAM would be cool for a 64 bit version?

64 is a given, the real question is whether you'd get value for money out of Ultimate over Pro or even Home.

Sorry to hijack this thread have some questions around Win7
I shall be upgrading my RAM to 4GB & Getting a new GFX card in the next month

1) What version of Win7 would be best for gaming and general use
2) How many times can you install / activate it? (full not OEM)

Home Premium will be just as good as Professional and Ultimate for gaming and general use, tbh. You can activate the retail version as many times as you want, provided the copy is only installed on one computer at a time.

You can install/activate both as many times as you want on the machine the license is tied to. The distinction is a retail license is transferable to another machine, an OEM license isn't.

not so much......if you buy a new PC in the future and want to use the OEM copy of win 7 you buy now on it....legally you can't because the license is non-transferable

& IF i was to get a new computer ill just get another key from somewhere and use the win7 disk that i will have
