Haha, doing quite well, staying in the top 3 at the moment. Although Amos has just been sent back from a loan, so might have to sign a new GK. I released Beto on a free, to save up £2k of wages, as he was only 2 1/2 star now, and I have better options. Might release/sell a few more come January.

Keepers are really really hard to come by strangly... (gave up looking for a davis replacement)

Good idea to get on the wage budget though, me and my flat mate have both taken on the challenge of newcastle! Its boarderline impossible as no one will take some of my overpayed players (im back to having an irrational hatred of Geremi mainly for costing me 50k a week...)

Struggling to get a squad of 25 for the league games limit. Got a few players who are 21 or younger who don't need to be registered so they don't have squad numbers but with Ashley Young and Yoann Gourcuff in the squad I'm thinking of selling Park and Hargreaves to let the younger players have a place in the 25. I'm heavy on defenders too; have just bought Salvatore Boccetti as Rio's long term replacement. Rio is 32 now and pace/acceleration are dropping quicker than a tart's knickers in close proximity to either John Terry or Ashley Cole. However my coaches think both Park and Rio have a part to play in the team. :(

You're the manager, get rid! :p

I'll have to. I found I was weakened in attack if Anderson was away or injured; I had no other AMCs and I ended up using my MCs as AMCs too often. I think Rio has to go as he's lost 3 points off his pace and 2 points off his acceleration in the last year or so. He's still technically good but his pace and acceleration are dropping so much that what good is his technical stats if he can't get himself into the right place quick enough?

And Park I used rarely as he seems to work best at MR but I often put my wingers into the AMR and AML positions.

There are 53 member countries of UEFA. The following countries have x teams in their top league. :)

So Andorra and Armenia both have 8 teams in their highest domestic league making them the smallest leagues but Liectenstein teams play in the Swiss leagues so theoretically they have a league of 0. :p

Just finished my second season, stayed in play offs, and managed to luckily get through to the final, winning 2-0 at home in the second leg making it 2-1. The final was pretty tense too, 88th minute goal for them disallowed, leaving me to win 1-0.

Managed to get 36 goals from my starting attack, then my forwards did pretty well too, especially Etuhu. My midfield done bloody well, might sign them again come next season, 40 assists between them!

The signings I made in January (yes more);

Most of them were from pretty big teams, I decided to release a few of my own players, and sell, just to balance my wages, dropped down to about 1.3k over from 7.5k, so not too bad.

Next season will be interesting, depending what sort of money I get. Hopefully I can grab more freebies again, as I'm yet to spend a penny as the manager!

^^ Quality season, cant believe sothampton didnt go up first time round... Keep a look out for some quality prem players ending their contracts soon (around this time players like zoltan gera enter into contract negotiations)

Des lars stubhaug get good?? Hes always recommended but i never bother to see if he actualy improves

Here are my signings, signed some that I had on loan on frees, so that they can slot straight in. Some good signings, especially with both Garcia's, and Veenstra.

Stubhaug has been OK, he was pretty much on/off first choice for the last two seasons, and falling behind Alfonso at the moment, although he's not much either!

For some reason Soriano has already scored as many goals as he did last season in his first 13 games!

Just wondering if others also notice this with FM2010....

Both my wingers/wide midfielders and oppostions wide players seem to be able to run down the wing with ease. They almost always get to the byline and put a cross in (which usually results in a corner), and the shadowing/marking opposition player rarely puts a challenge in but just appears to follow them closely. I don't know how to stop the opposition doing this (have tried closing down/tight marking/hard tackling), and I don't know how to get my players to cross earlier or put it back to put the cross in????

Right I grew some balls and sold off Rio, O'Shea, Park and Obertan. I also sold Macheda but that was an accident. :( I was using him and Welbeck as my starting strikers for cup games and they were ruling the pitches, scoring shedloads. But then I got Aguero so I was worried I'd have too many strikers and not enough opportunities to play them all fairly so I sent Macheda off on loan to Inter. They asked for a £13.75m future fee which I stupidly agreed to, thinking if it came to that I'd just offer him a new contract and he'd sign for me. He didn't. :(

So I brought in £45m of sales and spent £53m, so a net spend of only £8m. :D

2011/2012 transfers

Seen as my lappy has a new OS now it's time to start a new game. :)

Started as Everton (obvisouly), will post my transfers in / out later on today. Need to get a decent bloody striker though!

Beat Stoke 1-0, first game of the season...Jack Rodwell popped up in the 86th min. :D
