So have just updated my first build. Asus Rampage Formula motherboard 2xPCIE 16 2@16. I am running 2 5850's unlocked Bios , 10.3 drivers and my Dirt2 performance is just the same roughly as a single card. 1920x1200 4xMAA ,High Settings (Automatic). I am getting 58 fps on 2! cards.

Is there something wrong. ? Tried the 3d Vantage software and I get 0 score, great. Gonna try Unique Heaven next.

You sure that you haven't got Vsync on?

Also try TakeN's idea of checking the Crossfire is enabled in the CCC

crossfire performance seems down in 10.2 and 10.3 beta , i have noticed this with my crossfired 5770's . stalker cop has half the fps , something is not right with crossfire me thinks

Ah, cheers for that. I might go back to 9.12 and see the results. I thought 10.3 was supposed to improve dirt 2 by some serious percentage. Not true.

It sounds like you have V-Sync on - check on Dirt 2's settings. I get between 75 and 90F/s (haven't run the bench for a while) on a single 5850 at 1600x900.

made me lol (its crap because you get a low score)

well i may get a low score but no matter what card i put in a 5850 or 2 5770s the score is crap so to me its crap you got problem with that, you see people on here run tests and it comes up score zero,so yes its crap

That was the first thing I checked, No v sync. Crossfire enabled in CCC and Catalyst AI enabled. Funny thing is my Unique Heaven bench is much higher. Single 5850 was about 36/37 fps on UH. Crossfire hitting 67-69 fps. But Dirt is worse. Crysis bench is way up. Testing L4D2 next and others. May re install Dirt 2, I dunno. Ita totally playable so what am I fussing about..

Your fussing about teh fact that Crossfire does nothing to help, when it should increase dramatically.

Test it out on those other games and post back here, I am sure someone can help.

not acting like a prat Big,you came on here having a go at me instead of trying to help the OP,if i come across as being a prat im sorry for it,its just that io think vantage never gives a accurate score but thats just me

ok 1st I said you made me laugh out loud hows is that having a go at you? 2nd how was your post helping the op? Anyway apolgies if i offened you :o

In a more contructive and friendly manner a lot of people use vantage as guide at the end of the day its a bit of software so never 100%. You will also find some people are full of BS mate on here tying for bigger e-peen (e.g saying it was std run when infact the card was oc for it) You are right in saying that vantage is not ideal though as CPU has a big effect on the GPU score. If your getting really low scoes make a new thread im no expert but ill be happy to trouble shoot with and try hit your target :)

So here is the interesting thing, I took the newest 5850 out and placed on its own and it worked ok but no output from the top DVI connector with the Asus unlocked 5850 Bios. I flashed it back to stock, lower clocks etc and now my fps have shot up. So I have 1 unlocked 5850 and 1 @ stock. Output works on both DVI outputs on newest one. I'm gonna try the MSI Bios later on both. But now crossfired on Dirt 2 1920x1200 4xMSAA, Ultra apart from post processing (which I find hits the FPS hard) Av 91 FPS. :D
