Windows.old just won't go away!

It's taking up like 10Gb and I can't delete it.


Any ideas on how I can get rid of it?

delete it through DOS.
should be easy enough just make a boot CD to boot into it from bios.

This.

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup.
In "Which files to clean up" dialog > Click on "Files from all users on this computer".
Select the Drive where your Windows.old is.
In Disk Cleanup dialog, select Previous Windows installation(s) in the "Files to delete" list. Click on OK.

Use a program called Unlocker (google it), right click, and select Remove - may need a reboot to get rid of it
