I bought a msi-p55-gd65 about 2 months back and after about 3 weeks
it died. I sent it aback to overclockers and they replaced it with msi-p5-gd80.
I fitted the new replacement board on the 23/2/10 and it worked fine for the
past 5 days. I turned the system of this morning and when I went to turn it
back on this morning it will not power up. The symptoms are exactly the
same as the previous one. I have connected the power supply to 2 further
systems with p4 processor and they power on.
I have also disconnected the video card, ram, hdd, dvd drive and fans but
still no signs of life. Power supply i am currently using is a hx750 and I have also connected a tx450 to it but no power on.

Could I have just been unlucky and got another fault board or could something else be causing the issue.

System specs:

MSI P55-gd80
cooler master scout case.
xfx hd 4890 video card
4 gig ozc pc312800 ram
i5 processor
samsung spinpoint f1 hdd
samsung dvd drive
corsair hx750 pwer supply

Only few things I can suggest is try with memory module and do a CMOS reset, also try external to the case.

Other fan that you may need to send this one back.

also try external to the case.

Bench test may help. It helped me.

i was going to RMA my Motherboard but I did a bench test and realised my PSu had stopped working. Would have cost me a lot to have it RMAd.

Also, check you aren't shorting the motherboard every time you boot, that is what I was doing :(

Tired with 1 memory module issue persists.
Removed cmos battery for about 15 minutes put it back in issue persists
