Hi everyone, over the past two weeks i've gone from knowing nothing about computers or what goes in them. I didn't really carewas just happy playing games. But now after my research i put together this build, i want to overclock to around 3.5ghz and play games in max/high mid graphics. Any suggestions on how to improve are greatly appriciated.

I have used different websites to get these parts, not all are from OCUK. In this build i am not including any optical drives, hard drives or perhiprials.

CPU - I5 750 - £150
GPU - XFX 5850 - £250
RAM - 2X2GB 7-8-7-24 - £80
MOBO - Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3 - £100 (Dont want crossfire or sli, help would be appriciated in order to find a better/cheaper motherboard that will allow me to OC to 3.5 ghz.)
PSU - Corsair 650w (lots of builds use this in videos, build suggestions or reviews i've read. Don't know if i need 650w though. £70
Cooler - coolermaster 212 - £20
Case - HAF 922 - £75
Total - £745

Is there anything i am missing/can improve or get cheaper for similar quality? I haven't included any thermal paste, don't know if i need but i know i will get some with the cooler.

Cool. Overall a brill system, and using windows 7 you will be able to take advnatage of DX11, a lot of people make that mistake when buying a 5000 series card and having vista/XP.

Enjoy :)

DX11 runs fine under Vista.

This motherboard has an 8+2 phase VRM which should be better for overclocking:

Of course make sure that you have decent airflow in your case as it is important to keep the VRMs cool in any system.

From my recent past experince id stay away from Gigabyte M/B's. Or at least make sure there are no reports on it not booting up all that well before buying it.

Other than that, looking good! Like to see how it behaves when built.

Thank you i've liked the P7P55D motherboards just didn't know the difference between them.

ok cool going for a P7P55D LE and taking the PSU

Considering taking the PSU down to 450w since my rig won't use all of 650w yet. If i go for 650w what will the difference be? Will my rig just get hot or will it actually improve performance?

If you could take some pics/review of that Asus P7P55D LE, would really appreciate it. Deciding between the Asus P7P55D LE or Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 atm.

Thanks :)
