Has anyone ever rented a nice sports car for a few days?

I'm intrested but I doubt they will let me rent anything too exotic. I'm 25 but I think the minimum age is 30 for the very nice cars.

Why, I've got some spare cash and I wanna drive a lamborghini for a day rather than a very supervised few laps on a track.

Because you'll be paying a ridiculous amount, will need a deposit the size of a mortgage, will be restricted to about 12 miles, and will have to be so damned careful it kind of defeats the point of driving a supercar.

Why not rent a sort of halfway house? Like a Boxster S?

Do it, if you have the money then enjoy yourself. Its not *that* expensive but you will find they want a hefty deposit and the milage is usually pretty limited.

One way of looking at it is drive it for a whole day on wholly unsuitable roads where you won't be able to open it up, or spend a bit of time hunting for one of the better experience days where you'll get less time but in a more suitable environment.

Because it costs a four figure sum? If you've got enough money spare to rent a Lambo you can do far more interesting things with it if you are into cars.

my cousin paid just over £2k for a weekend on a gallardo (sp?) he hired it as his son was having his prom, he was 36 at the time i think, but he also had a high score of points on his license :p

go to vegas and rent a drop top corvette from hertz for the day.

Then take to the interstate, put on some tunes and feel like an extra in a movie. Least thats what i plan to do this summer :D

Think its only about £100 a day.
