Which TV shows can you just not get into?

Battlestar Galactica, found the whole thing rather boring and just couldn't get into it. Tried to watch it twice but gave up after season 2.

Prison Break
Stargate Universe
Family Guy
 
Just cant get into -

> Any CSI - Seems they have one single flowchart for the entire genre which every episode must follow.

> The Wire - Forced myself to watch the first season and just didnt care what happened to the characters so I stopped.

> Lost - C'mon really? Watched the first season which was OK but surely it cannot be taken seriously by anyone now, its a total joke.

Best shows that are on or have been on for me -

The Sopranos - The best series I have ever watched put simply. James Gandolfini should be given status as the greatest TV actor of all time as far I'm concerned.

Dexter - The deb issue aside (I agree with the above), its one of the most darkly funny and best acted shows Ive seen. Michael C Hall is absolutely brilliant and his portayal alone is worth watching the show for.

Carnivale - Only ran for 2 seasons but it was so different from anything else that it made for some seriously gripping TV.

Someone else who has seen Carnivale! :cool:

Great show but very slow moving. Glad I saw it on DVD as I think it would have driven me mad watching it weekly.
 
Soaps.
Day time telly.
Pretty much all of it to be honest as it's Crap.
 
I think the reason that Deb is still in the show maybe summat to do with the fact that Jennifer Carpenter is married to Michael C. Hall

They got hitched in 2008.
 
The Wire is brilliant but you need to force yourself to watch the first 6-7 episodes, then it's awesome. Same aplies for The Shield, I watched The Wire first and found The shield cringe worthy incomparison, but again after 5 episodes I now understand why people rave about The Shield. I think the problem with the Shield is that Macie isn't anyway near a "gooder" character as McNulty. :)

Ditto. Watched about three episodes of S1, and just didn't like the characters, the script and the fact it was EXTREMELY slow paced.

People always put it up there with The West Wing and The Wire etc. but the script is just lame by comparison, and really didn't grab me like all other HBO efforts.

Just goes to show how things can vary.

I too love True Blood, Glee and Firefly, but thought everything after season 2 of Heroes was dross, and ELR is just mega-fail as far as sitcoms go.
 
Believe it or not, Lost. I've got season one and two sitting in my living, borrowed from a friend. I've tried to get into it, but have never managed to get past episode two. :o
