Best place to buy salami

Thanks for the thread, I'm going to pop into Lidl tomorrow and pick up some chorizo and/or some salami. :D

I get mine from a local deli, it's fairly priced. Have a look around your local area and see what you've got, nothing better than a proper italian deli.

I've a bit of a thing about eating stupid amounts of pepperoni/ salami. When you get drunk it really hits the spot.
Anyway, you asked for the best place. Not the cheapest.

Cheapest will be lidls/ aldi/ pikeymart etc.

Get yourself off to your nearest deli and ask if they've got some spianata calabrese (spee a narta kal a braysee). It's made with hot peppers and really hits the spot.

This is the stuff to get.

Definitely stocked on the Morrisons Deli counter, £1.09/100g :)

LIDL or Aldi, they are German owned so they generally have a lot of stuff like this. The Chorizo is really nice in a risotto if you take the skin off and slice it into cubes and fry it. A lot of oil comes out of it but you can use it in the risotto to add flavour. One of my favourite risottos is prawn and chorizo.

Not just cheapest, they are often better quality then the Tesco/Sainsbury/Morrison equivalent.

Aldi/Lidl are best for continental sausage, cheese, chocolate and olive oil. They are not only cheaper but better quality because they are imports straight from the countries that make them best,

Morrisons.
The do a pretty spicy sliced salami, cant remember the name off the top of my head, but if the adverts are to be belived, just ask one of their 'trained professionals'. :p

I wouldn't say the oil was brilliant, I bought some extra virgin olive oil for salads and stuff and it just tasted like vegetable oil.
Some of the stuff is alright though, I bought some quite tasty frikadellens from aldi, also like some of the strange imported beers in lidl.
