As per thread title, is there a specific set of drivers out there that are known to be good for SLI'd 280s?

Or are the most recent ones just as good as any?

Opinions please.

TIA

Depends on OS

On Win 7 64bit I found the best drivers currently are the 191.87 Quadros with modded inf to support GeForce cards and the latest standalone PhysX and SLI updates.

Other than that try the 191.07 (good) or 196.34 (rubbish IMO) WHQL but most people find the 195.xx and newer drivers a bit buggy with 200 series SLI setups currently.

On Windows XP 186.18 are the most solid and reliable tho 191.07 works quite well, again mixed stories with 195+.

Sorry, I should have said, I'm on Windows 7 X64.

I'll give the 191.07's a try as I don't want to be messing around with modded drivers!

Cheers Rroff :)

I might want to mess around with modded drivers, that sounds like it could be a much easier way to get my 8800gt running with quadro drivers than flashing the bios. Cheers Rroff, I'll look into this.

Not sure if the modded drivers allow the professional functions - I think it just runs the cards as GeForce.

Didn't the very latest drivers come with more SLi support for games? I'd just use them tbh.

You can install the latest SLI updates stand alone from the drivers - they are intended for a newer driver release but appear to be compatible with 191.87.
