Bike innertubes

Is there any difference In them or will the cheapest do? It's for a hardtail that I use for road and forest riding. Halfords are doin 3 for 2 at £3 each.

Size is 26 x2 .10

I'm a goddamn puncture magnet so I got the thicker ones but generally andy is right...except I had an el-cheapo tube explode at 120psi in my road bike! I guess I am just jinxed when it comes to innertubes.

i dont care about weight but i do attract quite a few punctures, i carry 3 repair kits around with me

cheapest will do, will get 3 of the above and have a spare

Me too! Though mine were at 85psi!

I carry 2 spare innertubes! So much easier tbh.

I use Tesco innertubes for my DH bike and they have served me well. Not one puncture while out in France - rocks, roots, drop to flat you name it. Cost me £1.50 per tube.

I believe weight on your wheels has the largest impact on how a bike handles, much more so than bodyweight etc. So in that respect, the weight of your inner tubes will have an impact.

Having said that, I want to kiss the ground everytime an inner tube lasts more than 3 months. I use the cheapest brand stuff I can find as that normally ensures better quality valves and their attachment to the rubber.
