Just because someone has taken a life doesn't mean they are bad people, look at the military for instance. A lot of British soldiers take lives of other people (see: murder) but according to society that's ok because they are fighting a war. It doesn't matter, they are murderers.

They tortured him, how can you say they aren't "bad people".

Yes because a soldier shooting an enemy combatant in a war is exactly the same as two kids abducting a toddler and beating him to death on a railway line.

There is a MASSIVE difference , the forces are fighting to put things right in the world and this guy dragged a kid away and killed him for fun !!!!!!!!!

I can't even describe how flawed that statement is.
 
But, on the other side, if you were beat black and blue, abused, neglected and all the rest of what happened behind closed doors up to the age of 10 and left to your own devices.... I always seem to think people have such a lack of understanding, if you give a kid no rules then it messes them up, if you give them rules they feel more secure but to add all the abuse into that equation you can't expect 10 year old kids to be anything but full of hate after what they went through, it was a disaster waiting to happen, why did the parents not pay a price like the naive vulnerable kids did?.

You need a reality check...

Facts established at trial show that, one of the boys threw blue modelling paint on Bulger's face. They kicked him and hit him with bricks, stones and a 22 pounds (10.0 kg) iron bar. They then placed batteries in his mouth. James suffered skull fractures as a result of the iron bar striking his head.

I'm sorry, when someone can do that to a three year old child, no doubt screaming in utter distress and terror, they are no longer to be considered part of the human race.

Don't talk tosh.

Armed Forces Personnel are NOT murderers. They're the ones who when the crap hits the fan are going to be there fighting to protect you and your way of life.

I presume that at some point in your families evolution you had a Grandfather or Great Grandfather who fought in World War 1 or 2, or perhaps a relative that fought in Cyprus, Korea, The Falklands, Kuwait or Bosnia? Do you consider them to be Murderers? I suspect not.

The scum that killed Jamie are Murderers, since they killed without any thought for their victim, they killed without any legal authority to do so. They planned their actions. That is a Murderer.

Trying to paint those two evil ****s as victims of a broken home is a disservice to all the kids who have had the same if not more chaotic upbringings as them yet somehow managed to comprehend that torturing toddlers isn't a good thing to do.
 
Believe me xGaffner, they didnt just "take a life." Some of the things they did to that innocent little boy were never released into the public domain because they were just too disturbing. What they did can never ever ever be justified with any words or excuses.
