Orange iPhone - New Sim Needed?

Hi all,

Upgraded to an iPhone and it came today.

New Sim obviously was not activated, has a small "3G" symbol on it. Old sim is a few years old now, does it make a different if i just put the old sim in the new iPhone, or do i need to activate the new sim?

Presumably if i activate the new sim, the number will transfer and the old sim will be disgarded?

Phil,

'Usually' your old sim will die within the next 24hours and the new sim will be automatically activated with your old number on. It's definitely worth using the new sim as its 3G and your old one might not be.

Wait and see what happens, if you get no joy them give Orange a quick call to arrange a 'Sim Swap' (150 from the handset)

Will give them a call tomorrow and get it sorted, had a feeling i may have to and according to the Orange website any deals/features built into my contract will only be activated with the new sim!
