Logged on today to find my sig had been removed and replaced with something along the lines of "Make sure your sig complies with forum FAQs".

Was a bit miffed because my image was on my hosting and I had to log back on the FTP server to remember the URL to the image (which iluded having tor eset ftp pass) also underneeth I had my PC spec which took me a while to get right.

I totally agree why by the way - my sig was too long (similar to what I have now but a few more lines) - but fair enough.

However..

My gripe is this - surely they could have just Pm'd me the same message and kindly asked me to amend. which I would have gladly done instead of loosing my image and rewriting my spec. Would have been a lot quicker as well. I wonder if some little hitler just took it upon themselves to press delete because they could.

Just annoyed me thats all. Not as if my sig is offensive. Sorry for rant.

If you have a problem with a moderating decision, contact one of the admins/dons who's details are in the FAQ. Posting a thread isn't going to help ;)
 
The mods do a brilliant job here, this is one of the best moderated forums I go onto on the net.

Read the rules and obey and you'll never have to cross swords with them.

if the mods sent a message to everyone for the little things like this, they'd be there all day, besides, while you'd be willing to change your sig after realising your mistake, there are a number who wouldn't bother and push their luck, so it's easier for a don to just kill it and let you deal with it :)

When I had a problem with a moderating decision - I never got a reply from any of them... :confused:
