Hi,

I have an Asus P7P55D Pro board running an intel i5 750 @4ghz.

I have an exhaust fan , a 120mm akasa blue led one.

Ive noticed a few times now the fan led will go off but the fan remains on? Also when this happens the mouse pointer juders for a second or 2?

it sjust actualy happened now and the fan is still on but led is out permenantly now?

Any ideas?

Matt

I have a fan led (120mm) on the side case as the rear which was the exhaust has been replaced with the H50 watercooler now so i needed an exhaust fan.

Its plugged into chassis fan2 (near the place you put reset switch, hdled etc etc)

Most likely a faulty connection on the LED. Absolutely nothing to do with the motherboard. Nothing to worry about unless you just must have that LED.

I dont know now as when i restart the pc it the led comes back on and its always after say 10-15 mins that the led goes out and doesnt come back on then until o restart?

Im concerned as if its the motherboard with a bad connection , or if the board is losing voltage then i need to return it for a replacement before the 28 days go by and then it has to be sent off!

It says to me this MUST be something else than the led on the fan as if i restart the led comes to life immediately and stays on for roughly 10-15 mins It does it every single time.

It has nothing to do with the motherboard. If it did, the fan would struggle to turn on as starting an electric motor from a stationary position requires a lot of current, and this is when a connection problem would rear it's head.
