Infinity Ward Bosses thrown out by security

Because everyone else is going to buy MW3? So they must buy it too. Its about the only reason MW2 was a success so why wouldn't MW3 be the same.

In my opinion people bought MW2 mainly because they played MW and liked it. Not just because everyone else was buying it.

Perhaps a factor. I liked MW but i could see the way it was going, no dedi servers, lame-ass killstreaks, ridiculous perks, etc. Chances are a lot of people would buy the next 1 thinking they won't make the same mistakes twice

It was more about MW being good and a healthy dollop of mass hysteria. Nobody can tell me they prefer the naff hosting in MW2 MP unless MP is a secondary factor to the game. The game itself may be as good as MW, no idea havent played it never will, but to outstrip MW in sales with a rubbish MP is just hysterical sheep folowing the pied piper.

Anyway back OP, Awwwwwwwwwww, couldnt happen to a nicer bunch of guys.

I hoesntly cannot see why anyone would buy MW3 when MOH is going to be out before it.

Personally I havent beem fussed by the two modern warfare games but they sold about a gazillion copies and were well recieved. The last couple of MOH games (much as Ive loved the series) have been a stinking old pile of arse. Maybe the next one wont be but I wouldnt go getting your hopes up.

Are you saying they got MW2 multiplayer right? You're on cloud cuckoo land...

Yes, they got MW2 MP damn near perfect for it's target market.

Hence why they made more money than they dreamed of out of it :p.

You are not their target market.

A lot of people that got mw2 never played many games before but the hype around it really did sell it.

Otherwise it;s sales would have been much closer to cod4 :p

Probably a good thing in the long run for the pc community. hopefully all of mw2 was activisions wantings. IW were formed when they'd had enough of EA, so thats two publishers on vinces blacklist, who's next, possibly got enough cash from cod to publish their next game on their own but what publisher would not want to work with vince, he's a gold mine.

Hopefully the fps series for the next period will come from them, back to basics, no perks, just shooting skill.

I hate the game industry for this.

They do all the work, the publisher gets all the revenue, then to add insult to injury they get fired for asking for their cut that they legally have right to.

Well Activision have shot themselves in the foot. I don't know, but I imagine the adapted engine belongs to IW, so I doubt Treyarch would be able to re-use the engine for the next game, and it won't be the same. Some diehard COD fans might lap it up, but I reckon IW's next game would be the new COD, and Activision won't see a penny of it then.

As much as I dislike IW's modern warfare, they seem to have got the formula right for most people, the sales difference between COD3 and 4 is a clear indicator of that.
