Aston Martin Cygnet.

Not only is it ugly, but according to Autocar today the entry level Cygnet will be £30k going up to £50k once buyers have opted to include some of the many 'individual' upgrades.

Fifty Thousand Pounds.

Compared to a 118d it looks a bit lame.

It's more expensive, less economical yet significantly less powerful.

It's shorter, but not enough that should make much difference parking.

Each to their own I suppose.

Butters, expensive, pointless...

Expect to see a lot in pink with rich daughters driving... or should I say 'bumping' around London.

Looks like it's been modelled on the grinning evil smiley to me.

If AM want to charge 30k+ for that then I just hope the typical AM customer realises that they are being ripped off.

do they actually have to sell any to get the corporate tax benefit / effect on their range's average carbon emissions? It is a pretty good idea if they can get away with it.

Would have made more sense if it was a "owners only" purchase to keep the exclusivity up (although they probably wouldn't have got the green points if it were i'd imagine). As it is now the price is going to nose dive if anyone actually buys it.

Not sure really, thats was Autocar was suggesting months back that it could be purchased with a real Aston. But as with most AC write ups they'll have made it up i guess.

Some nutter out there will buy one, I can see the likes of Stephen Ireland gaying one up and the saying its for his bird.

The only purpose of this vehicle is as a green dodge for Aston, to reduce the average CO2 output of their range.

Simples!

The fact that some people have too much money/too little taste to buy them is a different matter!
