New car time..

Looks good! welcome to the ever expanding club. Mine has gone in for an inspection II and fluid change today

Main dealer?

BMW wanted £470 for my inspection II on the Z4. Took it to a BMW specialist independant and had it done for about £250 with brake fluid change!

Mine, only just had an Inspection II just before I got it, its due an oils service in 12,000 miles. MOT Monday though!

The cheapest I could get was £420 because of it being over 4 or 5 years old.

This was ringing around 4 of the closest dealers to me and I couldn't get them to budge.

Mine is having its MOT tomorrow and the front wishbone bushes replaced with powerflex bushes, they weren't totally worn out but I can feel them moving a little under braking, I'd rather get them done now before they get worse.

Cheers guys.

As theres a lot of knowledgable people/owners in here I have a question.

Ive just driven for about 20 minutes, mixture of 30mph, 70mph, 40mph, not really stuck in any traffic. My heaters were only just starting to blow slightly warm and the temp guage (oil?) was only just on the edge of the blue. A quick google shows this could be a simple thermostat problem. Is it much of a job and has anyone had the same problem or is this normal? My Z4 warmed up very quickly and the heaters were blowing hot in no time.

Very likely to be the thermostat. I had the same issue on my 318 - your car should be up to temp in not much over 5 mins and stay sat in the centre of the gauge for the rest of the journey.

I had the same symptoms on my 318. Replaced the thermostat last weekend (parts were £30 from BMW, the job was easy to DIY). Completely cured the problem - up to temp in not much more than 5 mins and very hot cabin heater again!

Thats good to know. Will be attempting it saturday morning with the guide. Hope its pretty simple.

ZHP gearknob has arrived, fantastic service :D (only ordered it at about 3 pm yesterday and it had arrived by 11am this morning)

Only just fitted it so not had chance to try it out

As others have said you have paid top end for it but does look like a nice example, enjoy.

Probably did but if some of the others were anything to go by I'd rather pay extra for one in good condition with lower milegae which will be easy to sell on in 18 months.

In 18 months time it will be not long until the car is 10 years old. I think you'll need more than just low miles to get good money for it.
