Students : National Student Survey heads up

I just got a call from a certain number (02088618682) which i wasnt expecting. The gentleman on the end of the phone worked for a company called
Ipsos Mori (never heard of them) however they are a "leading market research company". He said he was calling on behalf of the National Student Survey which is aload of bullcrap he then proceeded to ask me personal details about myself. No way will I give out personal details to anyone who calls me over the phone. he even asked me 3 times for my DOB.

So any students currently at UNI, when you get a call from these people just fob them off.

Ipsos Mori is a huge company. Whenever you see in the news a poll has been done its usually by them.

Half of this town seem to be employed by them

Mori are probably the countries biggest market research company. They are huge and very legitimate.

Did just get a call from National Student Survey, but weren't asking any details apart from what i'm doing now and why I started the course I did at uni. Already knew my name, degree and uni. Though i'm not sure if the call was from them, or from my uni on their behalf.

Even if the company exists and is legitimate you can't be sure it was them. You did the right thing.

I had a similar thing when I finished college a few years ago. Not sure who the company was though.
