Could Sony's "surprise" be Resistance 3?

I would love it if it was, I know The Getaway wasn't appreciated by all but I loved both of the games on the PS2.

Think what they could do now with realistically mapped streets. :) I remember being really impressed with how they did it on the PS2.

Plus I was an early adopter so had the BT van edition :D
 
Killzone 2 looked great, aside from that it wasn't much.

Resistance isn't that good a series either.

Much better things they could announce, I'd be disappointed if it's either of the two above.
 
I haven't liked either Resistance game and likewise albeit to a lesser extent either of the Killzone games (although the graphics on KZ2 were brilliant) so I'm not getting too excited at this point

Little Big Planet 2 though would be awesome but I think I remember reading that there wont be a sequel :(
 
I doubt it will be Resistance 3. It's a surprise, and we know there's going to be an R3. It could be KZ3, as I don't think anything has been confirmed. It could be Jak and Daxter. It could be a completely new game (judging by the fact they're touting this as a massive surprise I reckon it would either be a revival of an old series or a new game - or something like MGS5).

I thought when Sony last mentioned their surprise game it ended up being MAG, I guess it wasn't and this is what they meant back then.

It's a surprise sequel. So there aren't going to be any completely new games. I would also think it's from Sony first party studios, so Metal Gear Solid is out of the question.

I know it won't be MGS5, I wish it was, but I'm pretty sure there won't be a 5.

hasn't that already been announced?

seen a video where at some jap game fest they announced it and shown a teaser and spoke about it be a complete new character in the new 1
