Just in case you didn't notice...

:p

Ooo I didn't notice that, good job :o Power req might be less then? 400w?

I believe he is referring to a high pitched noise coming from the cards and not from the fan. I hear it quite audibly on my GTX295 when the frame rate goes into silly numbers during intro/loading screens in games such as GTA4 and Crysis. Don't remember hearing it on my 8800GT or 7800GT :D

Ahh my bad then, I've only owned a cheapo GT220 whilst I waited for the 5870 to turn up but that was passive :D

26th March, but I wouldn't count on being able to actually get one by that date.

that is true but it would be nice to see some good benchmark results and who know maybe some overclocking results too and then sit back and watch what ati have to beat it, as we all know that ati and nvidia have been having a performance war since the beginning of time

Im looking forward to the release but im not looking forward to the disappointment people are going to get.

& lol at that spotted 600watt thing. minimum 900watts ***. i only got 700 of those things called watts.

when i bought my pair of GTX295's i was told i would need 90+ amps of 12v, so i checked on the nvidia site for recommended PSU's ended up shelling out for an Enermax 1250w.
put a power meter inbetween PSU and socket (230v) played Crysis on v.high 1920x1200...and the power meter showed a maximum of 500watts! so even purely 12v thats only 42amp

The rest of the system was 920 @ 4ghz, Asus Rampage, 6gig Dominator, 2x750gig RAID & 2x pioneer DVD.

So take the PSU recommendations with a pinch of salt.
