I want to upgrade right now and looking at the P55, 1156 socket boards,
which one I've yet to decide, possibly the Gigabyte ones but problem is i have water cooling, Dtek v2 waterblock,
i remember reading somewhere that these boards have 775 holes also. Trying to find it again, but failed. can you guys confirm that for me or which board that have 775 holes.
Cheers

Yeah I'm afraing Gigabyte boards don't. You'd need to make your own mount, or consider the EVGA boards, some of those have what's called Dual Cooler so they have both the holes for 1156 and 775

I recently done a build using an AsRock P55 and an i5 750, the board did have the 775 holes, but neither the std 775 cooler or the Arctic Freezer would fit, not space or other components, but one leg of both coolers fouled the cpu socket, it was just the offset of teh 775 holes to the 1156 cpu socket, ended up using the std 1156 cooler. This may be the problem with 775 coolers on P55 boards.

I see, i had already decided to change to a block which support 1156, your experiences enforces my decision.

Thanks
