Bank transfers with Abbey

Do not bank with Abbey/Santander.

Useless bank, truly useless bank. My other half had so many problems with them when she tried to get new cards twice. Both times she was without a card for about a month, with the first time being nearly 6 weeks

Useless Customer Service sending cards evrywhere around the country, blatant lieing, and just generally semed to be doing everything possible to screw her over just for the lulz.

I can indeed confirm that they are utterly useless, that's a very similar situation to what I've had although I'm still cardless because after the 4th time I got bored following it up. I really should try again soon. However I've now changed bank and I think I actually preferred the Abbey/Santander online banking - it may have been slow but it was at least easy to use.

I have an acccount with Abbey and they recieve via Fastpay but not send! I have an account with Alliance and Leicester they recieve via Fastpay and send upto £250.
I have a business account with Barclays and they allow upto £5000 send and any recieve!

HSBC were the best, any recieve upto £10k send.
