iPad Released April 3rd, but not for us.

Not the end of the world, is it?

It's down to production constraints. Expect this thing to be like gold dust!
 
I thought this was announced at the keynote that it was initially being launched in the US with other countries getting it later in the year?
 
The keynote said a worldwide release at the end of March for the wifi only version. From what I remember anyway. I am annoyed with this but there are some positives. Gives a chance for some more reviews to come up from people using it in the US. It also will give competitors time to demonstrate what they are offering. If I'm right the launch in the UK will now include the 3g and wifi only versions at the same time.
 
Does it really matter? A couple of weeks later.

Are people really gonna die from having to wait a couple of weeks? Perspective, people.
 
Ah, was really hoping for the end of March as I have the first week of April off work to have some quality gadget time. Oh well!

Put yourself in Apple's shoes. The £ is dropping vs $. Price it too high and it flops... too low and you lose margin. Apple will leave it until as late as possible.

BTW... also expect prices of the next macbooks to reflect the falling £.
