I relate to it this way, if someone said "I rob houses for a living" and everyone in the thread started shouting "BLACK!", "How Black of you" or other words that are descriptive of race but derogatory, that wouldn't be out of order no? If a black person were to see that they would be offended.

Have some PSA's from America on the issue.

Sure, call the OP Vein or wimpy, but gay? As I said, most gay people are gay and you wouldn't know it, just because you see the loud and proud queer queens running around flaunting it doesn't mean they are the majority, they are just the noisy ones who are visible, the average gay man is indistinguishable from a straight one, the prissy queen is a very negative stereotype.

aw, I feel bad now, lets touch and make up?

To be fair, its not as if it is unique to OcUK, society as a whole seems to have no problem with it, im guessing in 100 years or so it wont be so prevalent and acceptable, just thought I should at least say something instead of ignoring it this time seen as it was quite prevalent in this thread.

Sorry OP, I cannot help you with your product of choice, maybe try a more... body concious forum?

Hurfdurf, stop being so bloody over sensitive and PC. The meaning of the term 'gay' is constantly changing. Get over it.

In the Anglosphere, this connotation, among younger generations of speakers, has a derisive meaning equivalent to rubbish or stupid (as in "That's so gay."). In this use the word does not mean "homosexual", so that it can be used, for example, of an inanimate object or abstract concept of which one disapproves, but the extent to which it still retains connotations of homosexuality has been debated.

Those American PSA's are utterly ridiculous.

You're taking this way too seriously, I doubt anyone posting in this thread has any serious ill feeling towards homosexypeeps. Oh and those adverts are gay.

All these replies and nobody seems to have actually answered the question. Has anyone actually used 'L'oreal Hydra Energetic Eye Roller' and what did they think of it?

I'm thinking that because of all the derogatory remarks in this thread, anybody who has used the product, is unlikely to come forward.

There aren't that many women on here, so that's why there aren't any replies, because blokes wouldn't typically use such ridiculous bit of "beauty" product. :/

Another sensitive soul are we? If he wants gentle happy clappy replies, he ought to check out a beauty related forum - clearly in a forum largely populated by boys (And some men) the reactions for such products aren't going to be very helpful are they? Let's get some perspective here.

wow OCuk is really full of geeks or people still living in the 19th century

the "gay" thing is just old when it comes to grooming products for men
No personal insults.

Hmm, on the rag then?

Homosexual people cannot complain about the hijacking of the word gay..........considering that they themselves hijacked the original meaning of the word.

I assume it's the same as Garnier Eye Roll-on? Just produced by Loreal and branded for men. I use the Garnier one and it does help when I have tired eyes.

I think everybody that has posted in this thread has Homo erotic leanings except me of course as i am Uber Man.
