Bugger!Just renewed gold as well.
I've got little flashing dots on the screen.Turned my console off and on and got the e74 warning.Turned it off&on again and it's working but still with dots.So no doubt it'll break completely soon:mad:

I would log a ticket now mate, it's on it's way out... Not within day's either, sooner :(

If you've had the E74, Get it sent away for repair. Whether or not it's showing now, you've had it. no doubt Microsoft get a few through the door that are showing symptoms but no error message, yet they errored when sent away.

Mine did this, next power on e74, it wouldn't do anything else.

Off too Microsoft it went, and my 'spare' came out to play.

Is this covered outside the normal warranty period? Mines been doing E74 on and off for about a year (it works fine after a few on and off's) but I've never thought of logging it with MS as I assumed they'd tell me to go jump...

No luck for me then. Mines a launch console.

Still worth trying it been known if you say it has E74 error they will still do it also you can make up a date you purchased it they don't know.

MS don't test the consoles sent back they do visual inspection only then send refurb out or replace parts.

I agree. It's worth ringing them anyway.
Well my 360 has finally given up.So it's off to MS to fix.

I sent my 3 1/2 year old xbox back to MS due to red ring failure. A replacement was with me within a week with a free month live subscription for the inconvenience. They paid all postage costs. Cant grumble at that imo
