Hi guys,

Lost touch with graphics cards of late. What would be the best bang for buck for around £100?

My system is AMD 5600 X2 @ 2.9ghz, 4gb ram. Not sure if that will bottleneck any of the cards id be looking at, ill leave that in your capable hands :)

Thanks,

Russ

2nd hand 4890 but Beware I am Owner Biased. :)
Awesome card that eats anything I throw at it & I use it for Company of Heroes on my 40 inch HD Sammy & BF2 on my Benq.

i use the same res. and have a 5750 (bought it for 96 quid) and its awesome.

runs every game ive thrown at is max settings with 8xaa etcetc all eye candy turned on.
id reccomend that.

also dont think it can perform like that at a low res this card can play comfortabley right up to 1920 x 1200 and maybe more. but ive only treid up to 1680 x 1050

i have 2 of these cards and for the money they are very good value. be aware that they DO NOT have the display port, but this did not bother me. is easily capable of playing most games at a decent fps @ 1920x1080.

If they don't have displayport, does that mean they shouldn't be advertised as supporting eyefinity?

i really dont know on that one, at the time i purchased mine, the pictures OCUK had were wrong and it was advertised as having the display port so i was a bit disapointed but as its not something i would ever use i didnt worry too much about it, but its a very good point.
