Right so just wanted to know who on a daily basis actual plays games with Nvidia 3d glasses?

Im quite lucky and work in the industry so i got to play it before it was released and saw the appeal but thought its a bit like a Wii everyone wants one then once you have it the novelty wears off and you never play it.

Is this the same for 3d vision for gaming?

Opinions welcome and if you think there is an advantage over 2d gaming them please included that.

Cheers

Does it work the same way as them crappy 3D movies that I can never see? I have a lazy eye and think that may be the cause. I wonder if this new 3D is any better.

I never saw anything in 3D where i thought 'ok i get it now'. For me it's always been a gimmick and it's still the same now. The only time i can see myself really enjoying it is when there are really decent VR headsets around where you don't have the peripheral vision issues. As it stands, looking at a rectangular image with flakey 3D just does nothing for me.

Mind you i also hate surround sound so maybe i'm just a luddite lol

I game whenever I feel like it using Red/Cyan glasses, but for most games it's impractical because everything gets tinted green. Competitive FPS, etc is a no-go but for racing games, RPGs, action games it can be really fun.

I'd play more if the colors didn't get distorted, am thinking about buying myself a pair of real 3D glasses, I'd still need a 120hz display though which is something I can't realistically afford at the size I'm used to.

I actually have 4.1 speakers but most games only work with 2.0 or 5.1 so I usually game using 2.0, plus my front and rear sound slightly different so it's best when hearing the same sound out of both.

@WatchTower it's technically the exact same effect as you see from day to day when viewing 3D objects, since each eye sees a slightly different image both ingame and in real life. If you can see 3D normally, you should be able to see 3D games/movies.
