Got £250 to get a new gfx card to replace x1950

Looking to get a new card to replace my ati radeon x1950 256mb any one got any recommendations?

You can nearly get a 5870 for that money now if you shop around.

The cheapest I can find it is around £320

Think I will just wait for the GTX480 or buy x2 5850 Toxic.

5850. Easy peasy.

HUGE step-up from what you've got an all. Make sure you have a fast-ish CPU as well tho.

cpu is intel duelcore 6600 2.4ghz and 2gig ram

and for res what ever is the highest the game will let me ^^

May i suggest a complete upgrade?

Getting a 5850 would be great but your processor could bottleneck the GPU :/ P II X4 955/965 and 4gb DDR3 RAM?

if youve got a crossfire motherboard, then 2x 5770 (cheapest at OC is £112 per card). if not, then 5850 (cheapest £223)

Overclocked it wouldn't. Get that E6600 upto 3.4Ghz no worries. My GTX 280 certainly isnt majorly bottlenecked by my CPU.
