Just ordered one of these for "08" plate delivery

which if I'm right is where people get stung - if it's coming towards the latter part of a lease then the car is probably worth a fair bit less to the insurer that it will be to replace it - so they have to fill the gap between that and the price they get on settlement from the insurance company?

Or else they get gap insurance which does it for them.

I took gap insurance , got it for 50 quid :)

It goes back tomorrow \o/ :D

You only have 24 hours left to do the decent thing and destroy it, and on that time frame there's only one man for the job.

Some say he was concieved in an Austin Meastro and that he has no toes. All we know is, he's called Phate.

Have you got a replacment in the pipeline?

Too late it's gone :)

Already replaced it with a TT ( it was the missus' car )

Gutless with stupidly light steering

on good side it was well built and faultlessly reliable

not exciting or interesting at all but was competent transport

So all in all, it wasn't the absolutely terrible car (given its purpose) that the usual 'we know everything about every car' brigade made it out to be? :)

My Grandmother has a five door one (1.6 too), and whilst its not going to be winning any drag races, I find it has enough power to get around with if you're not a speed freak, and in the six years she has owned it, the only thing that has gone wrong with it is the wiper stalk snapping at the beginning of this year, which was a £16 and 10 minute fix :) Everything else is solid, and the car is actually pretty comfortable for a larger hatchback on our terrible roads.

Not bad for a "rubbish" car, considering what they cost.
