What colour would you like your new car in, sir? White Gold please....

If thats gold plated, someones been robbed, looks identical to a chrome wrapped one..

Exactly. Think of the sort of air-head who usually starts these stupid chain mails.

OH WOW ITS LIKE DUBAI IT MUST BE WHITE GOLD!1132344 AND A QUAD TURBO MEGA CAR11.1..

It takes a top drag racer 5 seconds to do the 1/4 mile and thats with 8000 bhp
so that merc is full of poo

or is it the 0-60 times?

You can't accelerate faster than mavity if mavity is the only thing holding you to the road unless you have massive amounts of downforce or a coefficient of friction greater than one.

So the theoretical maximum time to 60 is (even with infinite power, the best tyres, 4wd etc) is:

60mph = 26.64m/s g=9.81m/s/s hence 2.71s

And the little bit of leeway (take Bugatti Veyron) is achieved with downforce + if your tyres leave rubber on the tarmac it is possible to have a coefficient of friction greater than one (it becomes like glue)

But 2s? No way

I'm with fox

£5 says its just a stock SLR with a chrome vinyl wrap.

its not white gold at all. You cant get that sort of reflection from silver paint.

and you cant mold gold into that sort of shape or finish either. its vinyl.

i've read somewhere that the 1/4 mile was 6.89s not 4.. :) also the car is white gold plated.. by some German company which does it in Dubai.. this kind of thing is very popular there.. they kinda "shrink the foil like gold" around the parts...

6.89 still seems too fast to me, I've watched naughty tuned R33's (as in not road legal and proper drag car style) with massive power not get that

that car is all over the internet, but not one link has mentioned anything about the power. It will just be stock and some dreamer put together the chain mail and made up a load of stuff to make it spread quicker.

If that car really was a quad turbo V10, it would be all over the internet by now.

Interesting, never thought of it that way. I would have thought the downforce generated below 60,30,10 mph would be so negligible on even a hypercar that it would make no difference to 0-60 times.

I don't think I've ever said this before but... that needs to be rolling on some twenties yo', looks a bit under wheeled.

So how do Top-Fuel dragsters manage 0-100mph in less than a second? Genuine question. I can't even begin to read your equation :)

Cheers for lending me this book Taximike, you can have it back now.
