Some of you know from the meet but I saw an advert for a guy local to me who is a professional wedding photographer looking for an assistant.

He wanted someone ideally in Essex, who shot with Canon equipment looking to get into Weddings

*bing!*

So I sent my details through etc and got an email back asking for me to meet him, met him tonight.

All I have to say is good news, we got on really well from the word go, has booked me in to assist for a wedding on April 24th and May 1st, also to go to a client viewing/meeting on March 21st.

I'm pretty chuffed, it's paid assisting work too (not that I'm bothered I would've done it for free!) Guy seems wicked, and I'm chuffed I'm going to be doing this, as weddings is something I've been really wanting to push this year. He is also part of the BIPP (I think that's what he called it) and would like to get me involved and get me enrolled in it too (as you have to be mentored by an existing member)

So fingers crossed! heres to lots of wedding work!

I saw this on a photgraphy jobs website the other day ( http://www.photographers.co.uk/html/photography-jobs.cfm?VacantWanted=V ) about the 12th one down and the way the ad was writeen I thought the bloke came across a right w@%ker! that might just me though lol! Pleased he seems decent enough in person though Phate. Could be a cracking experience for you though mate! Good luck

I'm not sure I want to get into Wedding photography but hoepfully i'm assiting on a couple in June with the guy that actually did my wedding last year! Looking forward to it but crapping it at the same time.
