Hello,

I'm looking for any film, of one of the following genres:
Comedy, Action, Adventure, Thriller, Crime
With:
Nice scenery in, I love films that simply show the streets of anywhere from the past, eg. something like 1970's America or Britain or some other country and the cars on the streets.
A main char who loves to rag about his car or some kind of cool car chase in the film, think of Blues Brothers, Dazed and Confused, Mr. Bean, Smokey and the Bandid, or even series like ''The saint'' ( With Roger Moore), various James Bond films, etc...

Odd requirements I know but I love watching scenery and cars from the past and I love car chases and seeing people rag their ride about :D.

EDIT:
oops, sorry, can someone move this to Music, Box Office, TV & Books

Ronin has a cool chase scene......as does the bourne series. Can't think of any pure car orientated film though.
Seen all bourne films and ronin :).

Doesn't need to be car orientated but something like Dazed and Confused would also be great, eg. a chase in it, lots of nice cars visible in half the scenes, a little race, a few kids ragging or dirving about, America in the 1976 environment, but the film itself not being about cars at all.

Try the Transporter, 2 and 3 aswell.
Sounds good, trying the first one and if I'll like it I'll try the sequels
Vanishing Point
Sounds great.

Have you seen Taxi (the original French version from 98 not the godawful Hollywood remake), a Luc Besson penned film about a taxi driver and his ridiculously fast car who gets roped in by the police to help out on a case.

It's a comedy action film that has some good car chases and is an entertaining 90 minutes, and was obviously the starting point for Besson's Transporter concept.

Bullet, even though he overtakes the same VW Beetle 4 times :)
I'm not sure if the film The Driver with Ryan O'Neal fitsthe bill as it's been a while since I have seen it.

The title sequence of the original Italian Job and lots of the rest of the film do what you want.

Dumb and Dumber

They also have a Lamborghini Diablo :)

The French Connection has a pretty good car chase.
"Goodbye Pork Pie" is probably more what you want, it's a great film about someone driving a stolen mini across New Zealand. Worth getting on DVD if you see it IMO.
