Right,

so at work as of late we've been having quite a few repairs and fixer-uppers in regards to people bringing in there broken pcs etc. that have only consisted of a few virus's or missing files.

And we have a few spare machines out back that are literally doing nothing. So I contemplated making a dedicated anti-virus / spy ware/ root kit and a few other bits of kit in one machine.

Now the only way I can think of going about this is installing xp or 2003 and cut everything down massively, so its running the bare minimum and using virtual box with a few O/S's running, to have multiple anti virus software running as sometimes they can conflict with each other and then using a usb adapter to attach the external drive, or has anyone got any other suggestions going about to do this ?

YES, i know this is a waste of time due to most AV's being the same. But its something to do, so please only bother posting if your gonna help ;)

another good point i could just get an extension cable and run it out the back hole in a PCI, should be easy enough :)
