finding out or seeing that your ex girlfriend is pregnant

I'm 27 now, and so of course at the age where a lot of my old female friends/aquaintances/girl friends are settling down. It's weird/slightly weirder/sometimes shocking almost in that order.
 
An ex of mine has two kids now (at 25), she had an abortion while we were together, when I was 16 just about to turn 17, when I heard she'd had a kid I was entirely unsurprised, and seriously relieved that it wasn't mine that she'd kept, we'd stayed together a year after the abortion but it remained an issue for her until long after we'd split up.
 
there's no way on earth it can be mine and i'm not even sure that she is, just something i have heard

i've had no physical contact with her since 2003 so unless she was freezing the little blighters, there's no way it's mine, she's with someone else. just felt very strange her (possibly) being pregnant, bit of a shock to the system
 
my first proper girlfriend has 2 kids now, 7 years on from us splitting. it's what we seperated over, i didnt want to "settle down"


happy for her, it's what she wanted. As for me, i'm still not fit to raise a fuss, let alone a child.
 
Shock that a girl who gets older wants kids.............

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest unless it was a few month after we had split and the "oh **** is it mine" thoughts would come around.

You split up 7 years ago and it still feels weird and a shock that she's pregnant? Have you had (m)any relationships in the meantime?

Ahh right yeah that would explain it, you must have been pretty loved up if you are still going through these emotions. Maybe this will be the catalyst you need to move on properly?
 
I found out my first girlfriend from university now has a child and is engaged - it is an odd feeling, but then life goes on!

Seven years since and you’re shocked, what would you do if she said meet your six year old son.
 
My ex got married and had a baby recently.

We broke up in 2007 and near the end of 2009 she's had a baby and was married.

I found out in a phone call actually. I was out having dinner with my current girlfriend when she called.

I don't quite know how i felt at the time, i was a little shocked, i couldn't say i was happy for her, i was more concerned with how she let it happen.

We were always careful, so didn't understand why she wasn't with him.

In they end, they got married, and are living their lives.

I haven't seen her since, just send each other messages on facebook every once in a while.
