Afternoon people!

I'm fed up of losing the voice track in to the rest of the audio when watching BluRays on my PS3 via my LCD TV speakers so I've decided its time to upgrade a little.

I'm moving the PS3 to the Xbox room so I can actually get some gaming use out of it without monopolising the living room TV. So I'm looking to buy a All-in-one BluRay + sound system.

Now it doesn't have to be the dog danglies, just something pretty decent that'll do the job nicely in a moderately large room (approx 14ft x 8ft). It only has to run a Sky HD box of it so I don't have a mass of additions. I would also like to keep the price as close to £500 as possible.

Would also be nice to have wireless ready rear speakers and the ability to stream media off my Diskstation.

Been looking at models from Panasonic which seem to be well received, Samsung which seem to get mixed reviews and rather a nice looking sound bar from LG though I aren't sure it'll have enough oomph for the room size. Also noticed Sony are due to release some new models and wondered if any Home Cinema types might have any more info.

Anyhow, wall of text over, anyone with any ideas or experience of these things let me know.

Cheers.

Budget would help :)

Only thing I can say is I purchased a Sony DAVS-550 when they were the rave a few years back for 5* etc etc.

Over the years I bit the bullet and purchased separates upgrading as I go when I heard a Bose system

The sound difference is well worth the cost, that does not even need to be that high if you purchase 2nd hand.

For specific reviews on all in one head over to the AVForums and do a search, someone is bound to have one/opinion

With regards to the wireless back speaker, we have one on our Pioneer all in one setup and tbh are a bit disappointing. Most of the time there isn't a problem with the wireless signal but you have to spcifically turn ours on every time you want to use it, both our rear speakers are also sited in the same box so they are only a foot or so apart. The system actually allows for 7.1 (with another pair of speakers) but then you have to trail the wires from the main box to the back corners making the wireless central speakers pointless... The system is good and the reduced need to trail wires around the place is good but I don't know if it's worth it.

Having said all that our system is a few years old now (maybe 4-5) so the new ones probably aren't like that, maybe worth looking out for those issues though.

Maybe you should look to solve this issue? Are you streaming it?
