Every weekday morning and evening I have a 5 minute walk across London bridge and It's completely changed how I walk....I'm now competitive (or a prat).

I walk with the main aim of not being overtaken - I'm not in any hurry, I just find it occupies my mind whilst walking.

Does anyone do the same thing or do you think all the people walking really quickly are idiots?

I'm a prat too.
I don't like cars overtaking me either when I'm driving.
I do a lot of running but I don't get upset at other runners overtaking me though.

I think people who walk behind me are idiots, especially bloody women in their stupidly loud heals. I deliberately slow down so they have to overtake me but some of them don't get the message and slow down too

Don't get me started on joggers either, *thud thud* *pant pant* then seem to expect me to get out of their way :mad:

I've always walked like that, except I have long legs and generally like to get where I am going in good time!

A slow walk isn't good exercise.

Haha, you're not the only 'prat'!

Dunno what it is but I almost get angry if I'm overtaken whilst walking and almost make a point of getting back in front of the person who's overtaken me.

Sure if it's not to see if they are wearing a nice skirt with the big heels?

ah something I forgot...I turn it into a form of motor racing chess by judging where the oncoming people will want to walk and trying to position myself so the person coming to overtake me actually has to slow down or walk into someone else

That is actually really fun :)

I walk fast all the time and yes inside i'm actually livid when women get in my way haha!

Especially on the underground.....!

dont walk fast lately.. knees/legs/foots hurt to much for no reason on the path i walk to college.. :/ every where else i can walk for 20 miles and nothing hurts.. :) so yeah im kinda slow on day-to-day walking lol.. and its not because of early mornings or something like that..

Unless they are late and need to get where they are going in a hurry, i always think that they need to relax and slowdown.

Im a incredibly slow walker though, would take me 15minutes to walk over the bridge.

I try to flow like water through Victoria station in the mornings. Dodging the ****wits with those trolley suitcases being dragged 10 feet behind them.

Not to mention women who stop precisely 0.5mm away from the exit of the barriers to put away their ticket which holds everyone up and unleashes a tsunami of tutting.
