Steam Friends/Matchmaking down again!!!

This is getting past a joke, it's been down a lot in recent weeks and means any Steam game that uses matchmaking is unplayable.

Ubisoft server problems can't play games.

Steam friends down, can't play games.

DICE/EA server problems, can't play BFBC2.

Notice a pattern forming here?

I only get two or three nights a week, of about 3 hours to play and this has narked me to say the least.

Steam is currently updating the ui and community backend.

Once in while steam has to update it's software

I appreciate that, but Steam friends has been down for maintenence at least 3 times in the last couple of weeks that I know of.

It may be more.

That's just a bit too often if you ask me.

well it's only often atm as they are doing a major update.

When it's done it will be stable like it has been the last year

It's like road works, at some point it needs resurfacing.

Try telling that to the Council in Coventry, the roads are a pot-holed mess, they're in a terrible state

Back on topic, I can't say that I've noticed Steam being down much at all lately

Seems to be back online now for me and loads of people are starting to pop up so I guess the end of the world is over again for another week.

Steams back up and it let me purchase BC2!!! wooohooooo.

And I am very impatient.

It may have been the only hour that person had available for playing. When there is downtime, someone will always be in that situation.
