HTC Hero, coming July on Orange and T-Mobile, makes me want!

Anyone else using Dolphin Browser? I tried it a while ago and preferred the stock broswer. Now with all problems solved, it really is much better than the stock browser if you go round tinkering. Set up gestures, auto-hiding of tab bar (and even notification bar if you want), long press is also pretty good, tab browsing. Have the usual pinch to zoom features etc.
 
i made the move over to BeHero 2.1 ROM on satruday. its a nice stable rom
only thing that isnt working is mms but i dont use that anyway. performance is on par with modaco 3.2 all in all the best 2.1 rom ive used with sense
its an eris port

things missing

No Google earth support
mms - there is a fix though
3d gallery - although downloadable (i have it)
no live wallpaper :(

my trackball seems to have broken when trying to track to the right :( i'd send it back to get fixed as i have orange insurance but i'm concerned i'd be left with no phone for a while for something so small.

also will google tell me that my phone can be updated or will i have to keep checking here when the official one has been released?

I read before on the net that you can use foam or something on the ball and roll it a bit to clean it. Quite common problem I think. Do google for something like that though. I've never done before so can't verify if it works or not.

happened to mine except to the left. The day i was sending it back it righted it self and has been fine since. It must have known. :)
 
I got one of these today;

T-Mobile - £30.00 a month, 18 Month
Unlimited Text Booster, Web + Walk+ (Free Internet), 900 Mins

I was going to get it on the £25.00 a month, 24 months but I worked it out it's cheaper over 18 months at £30.00.

Just turned it on two mins ago so it's charging.
As of to-date it comes with firmware: RUU_Hero_T-Mobile_UK_2.73.110.26_R_release_signed_NoDriver

I won't be customizing it myself except wigits, will be leaving it at stock firmware until T-Mobile/HTC release the update.

I was looking forward to the next behero rom... but think im just gonna stick with 1.2.6 for a while, at least untill the Legend rom has been tested and is known to work ok!

Having no issues with 1.2.6 so far :D Villain 3.3 i didnt get on with, fc this, fc that... was a right pain!

hes got wifi working now, just needs to sort the mic and headphone probs, hopefully it'l only take a couple days to get it stable.
 
Haha, just got a call from 'T-mobile' (actually Fonehouse.co.uk) trying to get me to change over to a 24 month contract so they can reduce my monthly ongoing to £5 month including 100txts, 100mins and unlimited Data... of course that means I get no upgrade for two years. I said as much and he tried to get me to 'upgrade' to a Samsung Galaxy!!! Muppets...

Pfft - Going from a Hero to a Galaxy is just stupid... roll on the Bravo and/or Supersonic.
