Why is this fan such a pain to intall on a AMD processor?

You have to put so hard to get the springs down and get the screws into to the clips on the motherboard.

Anyone tried installing this fan?

I managed it last time since then I took it off and replaced it I am tryint to intall it on a different motherboard

Used these a lot, and agree with you, the installation on SKT AM2/3 is a right pain, the tirck is to assemble it all OUT of the case.

PS, you have a typo in the header if, Golsen - Golden.

agree with master, assemble it outside of the case and goes in fine

I installed it outside of the case and seemed to go on ok but with a lot of force there is no way it will go on inside a case

get out your SDS+ drill, that will do the trick

I installed the Orb but it not cooling the CPU properly temperatures are way too high.

I am going to apply some new thermal paste as the other one seemed to have dried up as it was some old pasyte I had from before.

Other than that has anyone else had any cooling issues with these orb's?
