Asassins Creed 2 DLC

Haven't played it as I didn't think it was worth it. It just seemed like they cut out parts of the main story and then charged separately for it.

Hi, anyone played this? is it worth my hard earned £3.99 lol

Thanks

There's two DLC's, which one are you talking about?

The first one is ok, quite short and uneventful but ok. The second is really quite good.

Ideally you'll want both though as they make up two parts of the same story, and fill in a gap before the end of the original game.

no chevo's, no buy.

You need to have a little pop up box tell you you're having fun? :p

I played the first dlc I thought it was pretty good however was a bit gutted bout the achievements seeing as I already had the full 1k but to be honest it was quite fun although seeing as it was ment to originally be put into the game only to be taken out by "lack of time" I do feel it was a bit cheeky not to add anything extra.

I bought the first one - but only because I'm a trophy whore & missed the one for killing a guard while flying the glider (was the only one I needed for the platinum, and I couldn't be bothered playing through two thirds of the main game again just to get back to that point!!).

TBH, I don't buy this whole 'It should have been included in the game' argument - the game didn't suffer in any way without it. I haven't heard the same level of moaning about Fallout 3 that had a wholely unsatisfying ending, that was only rectified by DLC.

i dont buy into this whole "not paying that much" it is about £4 we are talking about here, its 10% the cost of an actual game

Its £3.19 for Sequence 12 and £3.19 for Sequence 13. So £6.38 for two short parts is a bit of a rip, considering you can get a full game like FFVII for near that price.

Also without these, to me the Assassins Creed 2 ending felt incredibly rushed, with a shortened understanding with what's going on, one second your walking about, the next your supposedly killing the Pope. Its obvious they were meant to be in the game, but due to time constraints (or another reason) they were taken out. If not, they wouldn't have missed out sequence 12 and 13 in the order of the retail game, and only added them at the point of the DLC becoming available.

I completely understand the argument that they should have been in the game, especially as Ubisoft have said they stopped development on them at the last minute so they could release them as DLC. I was angry about this at first.

The problem is that if they had held the game back to release the DLC as part of the game, then Ubisoft would have missed the Christmas sales period. This would have meant less sales and profits, less market share, and as a result the game might not have done as well.

Am I still slightly annoyed? Sure, but I completely understand why they did it and I'm glad they did it at all! As long as it doesn't become a habit. :p

I'm currently upto sequence 10 on this, on the PS3. I'm still not sure whether to buy it or not.
